Aetna coverage is coming soon!

Is it too late? My baby is older/I already started supplementing etc.

There is no "right" time for a lactation appointment. Whether you have been exclusively pumping, combo feeding , exclusively formula feeding, to exclusively breastfeed it can be beneficial to have a visit to work on whatever issues you may have! We can help with supply issues, latch issues, bottle refusal, nursing strike and more. If you are introducing pumping or trying to increase your supply before returning to work, we can help you!

When should I schedule my appointment?

We want baby to be hungry for your visit but we don't want baby too HANGRY and upset. If possible (we know babies are unpredictable) try to have baby eat about 1.5 hours prior to your visit. This will have baby hungry but not SO hungry they will be too frustrated to work with us!

What if I have questions after my visit?

As a new mom, we have a lot going on! We don't expect you to remember it all. We will give you a personalized feeding plan that gives step by step guide of what we discussed in our visit. But if you have questions beyond that, you have access via email as well as our secure messaging or phone call to ask any and all questions you may think of!

What is an IBCLC and what is the advantage of hiring an IBCLC?

An IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. It requires both an educational component and a clinical component before sitting for the international boards. It is the "gold standard" in lactation care and requires the most rigorous requirements.
